Staying Balanced.

I believe having a strong work/life balance leads to more creative and productive work.

I also believe no one is defined by what they do for work. I am also:

  • A husband.

Lisa and I started dating in college and have been together ever since. She is my partner, my confidant and my best friend and the most generous person I know. She has spent most of her adult life volunteering her time on numerous boards serving at various times as President of our local JCC and our synagogue. She inspires me to be the best I can possibly be.

  • A dad.

My children complete me. They are smart, funny and kind and advocates for those less fortunate than themselves. Each is amazingly talented while having entirely different interests. They keep me humble and keep me laughing and challenge me to be better every single day.

  • A photographer.

Since 2010, I have used photography as a creative outlet, shooting primarily landscape and nature and selling my work on Etsy. In 2016, I also began providing product photography services as added value in my day job at Baskin-Robbins.

  • A nature lover.

I love being outside. Whether it’s going for a hike, a swim in the lake, walking the dog at the beach, or even just out with my camera, I prefer the fresh air of the country over the bustle of the city.

  • An athlete.

Whether it’s training at the gym, going for a run, or competing in mini-triathlons and obstacle course races, I love pushing my body to see what it can do. It’s another way to “relax”. I love sports too and am an unabashed fan of the Steelers, Red Sox, Celtics and Penguins.

  • A volunteer.

There is an expression in Judaism called “Tikkun Olam” which translates to “Repair the World”. The premise is that the world is broken and it is up to each of us to put the pieces back together and make the world a better place while we’re here. Tikkun Olam is a concept I try to embrace every day.
